Audit of Financial Statements

An audit aims to certify the extent to which the financial statements submitted for examination express the economic and financial situation at the end of the year or period and the cash flows that occur in the period they cover.

Our methodology conforms to international standards and aims to issue a formal opinion on the financial statements with no restrictions to the scope.

Under normal conditions, the auditor proves through its opinion that the analyzed statements express faithfully the financial position of the project at the date and the results and cash flows during the period in question. They also determine whether the financial statements give a true and fair view of the financial position of the project.

The goal of a simplified review of the financial statements is to enable the auditor to state on the basis that not all the evidence for an audit process has been provided, that no irregularities are present in the way the financial statements are prepared with respect to stipulated reporting frameworks

This includes the collection, classification and summary of financial information. This usually entails reducing detailed data to a manageable and understandable form without a requirement to test the assertions underlying this financial information.

The employed procedures do not enable the auditor to express any assurance about financial information. However, users of the compiled financial information derive benefits as a result of the involvement of the auditor because the service is run independently.

Survey of Prospective Financial Information

This is a survey of financial information based on assumptions about events that may occur in the future and possible actions of the entity. It is highly subjective in nature and its preparation requires the exercise of considerable judgment. In this context, the involvement of the controller aims to achieve proper and sufficient evidence in order to validate such as aspects as

  • The best estimate assumptions of management or administration which may not be unreasonable
